• Stryker is seeking a **Design Engineer** for our **Customized Implants** division in **Ventura, California.** Here, we specialize in designing custom temporomandibular joint **(TMJ)** implants that restore jaw function and transform lives.
• As a **Design Engineer**, you will gain hands-on experience in a collaborative environment, working closely with experienced designers and clinical specialists to create patient-specific solutions.
• **You will need to live within commuting distance to Stryker's Ventura, CA office and be on-site 5 days per week.** **What You Will Do** * Design patient-specific TMJ implants in accordance with established engineering procedures and surgeon preference listings * Evaluate CT scans and anatomical models for image quality, reference geometry, and suitability for design * Create 3D implant designs using CAD software based on surgeon input and patient-specific anatomy * Prepare design review packages, manufacturing drawings, and surgeon approval schematics * Partner with surgeons and field teams to incorporate patient-specific requirements into final designs * Coordinate with manufacturing and customer service teams to support design transfer and production readiness * Serve as a point of contact for internal stakeholders and clinical partners regarding design progress and updates * Maintain accurate design documentation and meet defined turnaround timelines for each case **What You Will Need** *Required Qualifications* * Bachelor's degree in engineering; Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline strongly preferred.
• * Minimum 0 years of experience in engineering, design, or related technical discipline * Strong customer focus and exceptional communication skills *Preferred Qualifications* * Internship experience in engineering, product design, or medical device manufacturing environments * Basic understanding of human anatomy * Interest in medical device design and patient-specific solutions * CAD software experience, preferably SolidWorks Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
