• Bellin Health is currently seeking a Phlebotomist to become an essential member of our team.** As a phlebotomist, you play a crucial role in ensuring accurate patient diagnostics are completed in a safe and comfortable environment.
• Additionally, you will educate and communicate with patients about the blood draw process and the importance of the tests being conducted which helps patients understand their care better and feel more involved in their health management.
• You are responsible for collecting blood samples, processing/distributing specimens, and performing data entry.
• You also serve as a customer service representative for the lab by answering phones and interacting with patients, nurses and physicians, as applicable.
• **On a given day as a phlebotomist, you will play an important role in ensuring service excellence is provided to our patients.
• You will spend time:** * Performing specimen collection and other simple lab tests * Serving as a resource for patients and staff * Performing data/order entry and results of testing as needed * Assisting departments with processing/distribution of specimens * Assisting the medical technicians and technologists with various duties in the lab * Providing age-appropriate care/service as applicable to the role * Assuring reliable, predictable outcomes and efficient processes **What do we expect of you?
